And then some yarn stuff
One thing is sure I will never ever go to yarn store with people who don’t care about yarn. I don’t want to bore poor people and I like taking my time to check out the selection. Blergh.
Anyway I’ve been bit of a yarn hoarder in September. And I’m planning to get more when I’m visiting my friend next week in Jyväskylä. Titityy HERE I COME!
Noro Sekku (50% Cotton, 17% Nylon, 17% Wool, 16% Silk) I usually avoid striping yarns. I do like Noro though quite a lot, their colourways and texture of yarn are awesome. I’m aware that many actually hate the texture of Noro because it’s not exactly even but I think that’s the beauty of it. :P I have couple ideas for this: rectangle shawl or up to elbow arm warmers. I love making triangle shape shawls but stripes don’t usually work in those.

Malabrigo Lace (100% Merino) Colourway is called rather aptly Purple Mystery. Although blue mystery might be even more apt. It really looked violet when I bought it, but in day light it looks more blue which makes me bit sad. Also taking a photo that shows the true shade has been really difficult. It’s always either too blue or too purple, but I think photo below is fairly accurate. It will become Heaven Scent shawlette. I must mention one more thing! Malabrigo Lace is über soft!

Novita Impivaara (40% villa / 35% akryyli / 25% polyamidi) This one is for my awesome pal’s Elementary Watson Socks.
Gjestal Maija (85% Wool, 15% Nylon) I bought two skeins of this (just in case, but I barely needed one skein). I knit a little hat for my friend’s son. I have to admit that I didn’t really want to buy blue for baby boy but since Amelie likes blue I decided to forget for a moment colour and gender issues. :P Btw I can totally recommend Aviatrix pattern to everyone! It’s really easy and quick knit. :)
Drops Cotton Light (50% Polyester, 50% Cotton) Err I bought four skeins of this (two grey and two green) kind of accidentally, I was in bit of a hurry and didn’t read the label properly. I think if I had most likely I would have left the yarn in the basket. Anyway plan is to knit ITO - 50er Top, which is striped t-shirt. I was orginally going to buy 100% cotton or linen or blend of those. Oh well. I like the colours and yarn feels nice.

Gjestal Janne (85% Wool, 15% Nylon) Since people who I care about are in reproducing mood, I am going to knit couple more little hats, one orange and one green. I heard babies like strong colours hence I’ve been avoiding pastels.
Drops Alpaca (100% Alpaca) This was going to be for a cardigan. But I think I may stash it to wait when I start knitting Still Light-tunic. It depends on how my yarn hoarding in Jyväskylä goes. :P

Your color choices roxxxx, yay delicous yarn! :D I WANT TO SEE ELBOW ARM WARMERS. :O
I agree with Melissa. I love your color choices. I don’t knit, but I cannot imagine anyone with a love for color not enjoying a Yarn Store. They sound like my idea of heaven. All of that color = bliss! :)
Tuo Purple Mystery vaikuttaa aivan täydelliseltä. Jouduin laittamaan muistiin. :) Juuri tuollainen sinisen ja violetin rajamailla kiikkuva sävy sytyttää!
@Neuloo Ja Purkautuu: Minut väri ajoi lähinnö hulluksi, toisessa valossa ihana ja toisessa vähän liian sininen. :P Huivia on kuitenkin tullut käytettyä. :)
Voin hyvin kuvitella.
